Biography
Vorador (originally called Infernus before his name was changed back to Vorador) is the oldest and most powerful vampire in Nosgoth. While he appears to be quite harmless, this vampire is definently one that you dare not cross. In the hidden bowels of his mansion, Vorador has hundreds and even thousands of humans in his 'pantry' that serve as food for him and any vampires that take shelter in his home.
Origins
Very little is known about this elusive yet strangely alluring vampire of Termogent Forest. He is credited for being the very first human to be changed into a vampire by Janos Audron. Not only that, but he is also the crafter of the Reaver blade. When he was first introduced in Blood Omen (C) Silicone Knights, he was mentioned to have had an excellent insight into Nosgoth's history gained by reading the thoughts of his victims as he drank their blood. He has also lived long enough to see Nosgoth's transition from 'young and vibrant to sour and corrupt'.
Vorador absolutely hates humans. Due to losing many that he held dear to the fanatical crusades of the Sarafan and vampire hunters, he grew to hate them with each passing day. When his sire Janos Audron was murdered, it was the last straw for Vorador; he took his vengence out upon the Circle of Nine by slaughtering six of the pillar guardians. His assault was direct retribution for Janos, and he made the Circle pay dearly for it.
When he is introduced in A Rose Among Thorns, Vorador shows an uncharacteristic sort of kindness towards Julie, even though she was not a vampire. When questioned about his intentions towards Julie, he simply replied with 'She will stay in my mansion until I see fit to let her leave', hinting that he was attracted to Julie. Once he takes her in, Vorador helps Julie by bandaging her wounds and even protecting her from Jenna at one point.
It's simple to say that he began to fall in love with the beautiful Arithanid princess, but only time will tell if their love is to last.
Personality
Vorador, like Julie, is arrogant and proud with a penchant for torturing humans. Loyal and caring to his allies and his own kind, Vorador makes a very good ally. However, he cares not for humans and those that dare to harm those he cares about.
Abilities
Vorador possesses the following abilities:
-Telekinesis
-Bloodgout
-Shapeshifting
-Superhuman strength, speed, healing, and agility
-Teleportation
-Precognition (acquired from drinking Julie's blood)
Weaknesses
Unknown
Did You Know...
-Vorador's name was originally Infernus
-He was beheaded publically in Blood Omen, however, he was seen once more in Blood Omen 2, possibly because Kain found himself in need of his assistance while building his vampire army.
-Vorador was not planned to be paired with Julie until the author saw the resemblance in their pasts and personalities.
